Fear Factory

Am cumparat din NY (unde am avut o intalnire buna cu Vivi) un Godflesh mai vechi.

Cautand pe net informatii despre ei, am dat peste un interviu interesant cu initiatorul-vocalistul trupei Justin Broadrick, din care citez:

I was just searching for some truth, some form of spirituality. Searching for some answer to that big fucking emptiness that is part of most people’s lives… Godflesh is definetly a way of escaping myself. But it’s not just about escape; it’s about trying to find more, knowing that there is more.

Esentially people are sheep; they want something to believe in… Without it, they are utterly lost and would probably end up killing people or themselves… I know ultimately that any sort of truth is in you, in yourself, as opposed to some great deity.

What people find bizarre about Godflesh is that it is really sort of selfish actually. It’s non-communicative… Godflesh grows up in public. It takes risks. It just does this shit and worries about it later. That’s what makes it a challenging band really.

cu alta ocazie, Justin declara:

Fear is really important factor in what we do… Our music is about hitting an emotional core in people with brutal power. At first all we wanted to do was crush our listeners, but then we wanted to hypnotize them.

Muzica Godflesh imi aminteste de afirmatia lui Aleohin, al 4-lea campion mondial la sah: “I don’t play - I struggle”.

Oare la fel joc si eu business..? :)
